Bare Hands ~ A Review

In an age built off of fast impracticality and passive trends, it’s refreshing to experience something designed so simplistically beneficial and built to last. Being given the sensitive vessel that I have, I am easily perturbed by the toxic burden betrothed upon us all in this world so plagued by capitalist scarcity mindset, therefore my personal participation in clean beauty rituals is not merely a desire, but an absolute critical “must”.

Bare Hands is like a love song to the self, a quiet confidence in compliment of your genuine being, a nail regime that doesn’t require you cover your body (or compromise it’s health) but kindly makes space for you to bare your hands so that they may live out their most intrinsic truth.

Chloe Bilsland for Bare Hands

The world of Chloe Bilsland is never short of flavor. Spending the day with this old soul we were charmed by her taste in design as much as we were by her homemade foraged elderflower cocktails (which she welcomed us with as a most excellent hostess would).

An herbal enthusiast and chef in the making, Chloe spends her day’s thoughtfully concocting nutrient dense culinary delights from locally farmed and foraged plants. In her free time Chloe can be found lost in the world of vintage cookbooks surrounded by the company of her pet chickens and ducks.

Thank you Chloe for joining our Bare Hands community, so looking forward to seeing where your energy ends up with us as we continue on our journey!

Herrera.

The Care Between Us: An Interview with Ashley J. May

[February 2021, by Alexzandria Compton] Ashley J. May, the “J” sits between the first and last like the body of a scale, holding both in place with the power of balance and the weight of its wisdom passed down to her by her Grandmother “June.” Over the last month we were honored with the time to more intimately explore Ashley’s work within the Black, Brown, and Muslim communities, and the multigenerational gesture of community care that she so gracefully wears at her sleeve.

Skin Food Revival - An interview with Megan Bre Camp

[Apri 2021, by Alexzandria Compton] Megan Bre Camp’s lineage of pursuits is as thick and rich as the tallow she works with. With a background robust with art and life intertwined with a personal history and ancestral connection that runs as deep and wide as the care she puts into her work, you could almost say that these layers are truly what gives Summer Solace Tallow the body that it does...
